Bedfordshire-based engineering distributor Drive Lines Technologies specialises in the supply of power transmission products, with a key focus on flood defence and water management systems. On Stand A6 at Flood and Coast, held at the Telford International Centre from the 3rd to 5th of June 2025, Drive Lines Technologies will be showcasing environmentally friendly ADE-WERK electric linear actuators, which are used in water management systems across Europe.

ADE-WERK Electric Linear Actuators

German manufacturer ADE-WERK has specialised in drive technology for almost 50 years. Electric linear actuators from ADE-WERK are commonly used in lock gates, weirs, barrages and bridges. Over 900 drives of this type from ADE-WERK have been installed across Europe.

Electric linear actuators are an environmentally friendly alternative to hydraulics. Lubricants cannot leak into the water due to the fully enclosed design and high-grade seals employed. There is no need for trailing hydraulic hoses, thus reducing the risk of hydraulic oil leakage. The linear push-pull forces are generated electro-mechanically.

AUMA Multi-Turn Actuators

As part of the ADE-WERK solutions, AUMA multi-turn actuators can be incorporated to provide a geared motor solution with positioning control and functionality. Drive Lines is a UK distribution partner for AUMA and can incorporate AUMA components into water management applications.

GROB Screw Jacks

Screw jacks from German manufacturer GROB Antriebstechnik offer controlled lifting and lowering. They can be installed singly, in pairs or as part of a multiple jack system. Also an environmentally friendly alternative to hydraulics, screw jacks can be used to elevate structures such as bridges or other critical infrastructure above flood water. Equally, screw jacks are an ideal solution for raising or lowering flood gates. Drive Lines Technologies is the exclusive representative in the UK for GROB Antriebstechnik screw jacks.
