Drive Lines Technologies will be returning to Flood & Coast to showcase its eco-friendly electric linear actuators for the water industry. This year, Flood & Coast will be held at the Exhibition Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus, Liverpool, from the 9th – 11th of June 2026. Drive Lines Technologies will be exhibiting on Stand D27.

Flood & Coast 2026 is a unique event that brings stakeholders together from across the flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCERM) community. Drive Lines Technologies will be in attendance alongside partner ADE-WERK, a German manufacturer of quality electric linear actuators. ADE electric linear actuators are widely used for flood defence and water management applications, such as lock and sluice gates, bridges and flood defence gates.

ADE actuators in sluice gate project

ADE electric linear actuators offer high performance without the risk of pollution or contamination commonly associated with hydraulic solutions. Their fully-enclosed design prevents the risk of leaks, causing contamination in rivers and canals. Moreover, ADE actuators offer lower energy consumption than hydraulics, which is especially significant for 24/7 operation.

Importantly, ADE actuators are IP68 rated and tested for long term submersion. Their fully enclosed, sealed design protects against dirt, moisture and impact loads, ensuring dependable performance in exposed water‑infrastructure settings. This ensures that the actuators can offer reliable performance for critical water management applications.

Drive Lines Technologies has been involved in projects across the UK, where ADE actuators have been used to in the design or upgrade of lock gates and flood defence barriers.
