Cubic High Performance Servo Screw Jacks HMC
The high-performance servo screw jacks from the Classic HMC series are a further development of the Classic MC series. These are specially matched to dynamic and demanding servo application areas of use, which standard screw jacks are unsuitable for due to their simple construction.
HMC high-performance screw jacks have a housing shape that is optimised for cooling. The cooling fins allow better dissipation of the heat and a higher duty cycle can thus be achieved.
The worm gear runs in an oil bath, which dissipates the heat better than standard screw jacks and distributes it evenly throughout the entire drive allowing for 3000 rpm input speeds.
Key features:
- Lifting force from 25 kN to 350 kN
- Linear speeds up to 17m/min
- The standard version has a self-inhibiting trapezoidal threaded spindle in a planetary milled precision version
- Ball Screw Spindle option for longer life and higher speeds
- Gear casings can be mounted in any attitude
- Low wear and maintenance
- Aluminium or grey cast iron gear casings in a cubic form
- Food quality options available
In Version AS a travel limiter is fitted to prevent overtravel of the spindle.
In Version VS spindle rotation prevention is included.
In Version AS-VS both overtravel and spindle rotation prevention is provided.

Version G
Translating (Basic)
In Version G the spindle provides the linear motion. In this design the spindle moves axially through the jack nut. Rotation of the spindle must be prevented; usually by fixing the end of the spindle to the item being moved.
Accessories
Accessories available include spindle ends, safety nuts, bellows, limit switches, trunnion adaptors, handwheels, mounting feet, cardan shafts, support bearings, bevel gearboxes, couplings to motors and motor adaptor flanges.
Servo Motors and Drives – Please contact us for mating servo motor CAD models and sizes to suit your application. We can support your project with servo drives and controls via our controls partner.
Materials
Available in cast iron and aluminium bodies.

Version LM
Rotating (Travelling Nut)
In Version LM the spindle is axially fixed and linear motion is transmitted to the running nut by rotation of the spindle. The nut must be secured against rotation by fixing to the item or mechanism being moved.
Accessories
Accessories available include spindle ends, safety nuts, bellows, limit switches, trunnion adaptors, handwheels, mounting feet, cardan shafts, support bearings, bevel gearboxes, couplings to motors and motor adaptor flanges.
